My dog at 1200mg of ibuprofen, and is 20lbs. She ate it about an hour before we took her to the vet, where she had induced vomiting, activated charcoal, and on fluids for 24 hours. We have just brought her home now. What are the chances that she will be okay???

Since you managed to go take her to a vet right away and he she had the proper treatment there is a good chance that she will be ok. You will find out next week when you take her to your own vet for some blood tests checking her kidneys and liver. If those are normal then she did not get damaged by the Ibuprofen.

Ibuprofen is toxic to dogs. It can cause severe stomach ulceration and kidney damage. Samantha may feel well now, but if her kidney function has been compromised she will start to feel worse in a few days. Please have her examined by your veterinarian today. Blood and urine samples can be collected and submitted to assess kidney function. Tell the vet exactly how much ibuprofen Samantha was given. It is never recommended to medicate a pet without the advice of your veterinarian.
