My 4-month-old kitten isn't pooping. Should I manually stimulate him?

I have a 4 month old kitty his name is nugget. I just learned that if my kitty isn’t using the bathroom I have to rub him down in his area but he has only peed he hasn’t pooped I’m not sure if I’m not doing it right I don’t know how to hold him either while I do that.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! A 16 week old kitten doesn't need to be manually stimulated to pee or poop. They should be able to go the bathroom on their own by 4 weeks of age. Be sure that Nugget is eating a commercial kitten food. If he isn't pooping try adding canned kitten food. If it has been more than 3 days Nugget should see a Vet as constipation is debilitating in a kitten. Be sure he isn't peeing and pooping outside the litter box. I wish you the best
