Is it normal for a 2-year-old female cat to not show heat signs?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Himalayan | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 7 months old

She’s almost two years old, I never witnessed her in heat or saw her calling like cats usually do. Is she alright ?

Some cats will have a silent heat but that is not really common. I would not be worried but if you are planning on breeding her then you should get her to a vet for a breeding soundness exam. They may want to do some testing to check her hormone levels or an abdominal ultrasound to "look" at her reproductive tract. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
