My cat's spay incision has a bump. Is it healing normally?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 2 years and 7 months old | 8.7 lbs

Hello, I was hoping you could tell me whether or not my cat's spay incision is healing normally or if I should take her to a vet. I've included a picture of the incision the evening of the 16th after her surgery, the 18th, and today the 20th. The picture from today does not show a small red "u" shape below the bump (?). Thanks for taking the time to help.

Yes it looks like healing normally. I would just monitor that small bump in case it gets bigger. Otherwise it looks like dry and not inflamed.
