My dog has eye surgery infection. Is Synulox a good antibiotic?

Hi my dog had her eye removed 8 days ago then suddenly today she had blood and pus dripping off her face like something had burst The vet cleaned her up and took a swab and gave her an antibiotic injection Tomorrow she starts a course of Synulox Is that a good antibiotic for this ? I'm so worried. Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Female | spayed | 8 years old | 14.5 lbs
