My chinchilla's neck fur is rough after drops. How can I fix it?

Pet's info: Small Animal | Chinchilla | Female | unspayed

I went to my local vets who gave me some drops for my chinchillas and they said to put them on behind the neck which is fine and normal I did exactly that and now the hair is all rough and compact, what is the best way to fix this?

That could be completely normal. I would recommend to wait 3-4 days and then gently wash the area with water and very diluted soap. This will certainly get rid of the oily remnants of the product.
