Can a cat's tooth infection raise globulin levels in blood tests?

Pet's info: Cat | Aegean | Male | neutered | 9 years old | 14.33 lbs

my cat test blood showing 5.4 globulin , had an infection in his teeth and been extracted , is the teeth infection might raise his globulin or i should check something else? cat age 9 y.o

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Yes, dental disease can cause increased globulins and total proteins. If the teeth are fixed I would expect the values to decrease over a few months. I would recheck the chemistry in 2-3 months. Good luck!
