Why is my dog weak, not eating, and has a stuffy nose after puppies?

We got a dog who was never vaccinated and just had puppies. After she gave birth she lost a lot of weight. We increased her food since she was nursing but then stopped the puppies at 4 weeks because she was getting weak. She has been drinking a lot but not eating as much any more. She seems to just stay in one place all day and just stare. She won’t move when called. She also has a stuffy nose and boogers in the eye every now and then.

It sounds as if your dog is indeed ill. It is not normal for her to have a stuffy nose and eye discharge, nor is it normal for her to be lethargic and not eating enough. Excesssive drinking is also a concern. She could be having a seripous infection such as distemper, or kidney failure or endocrine disease. She urgently needs to be seen by a veterinarian today.
