My cat ate a small trash bag piece. Should I worry about blockage?

My cat ate a small piece of a black trash bag - he swallowed it, he did not choke. Is this an immediate concern or should I just watch for signs of blockage?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If the piece was small he will likely pass it. Watch for vomiting, lethargy and not wanting to eat. check his stools with gloves for the piece of bag so you know when to not worry. If he gets sick then he should be seen by a Vet. Good luck
