Why does my cat's bottom sometimes stick out, even if she's not in pain?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 9 months and 17 days old | 9.5 lbs

Ok my female cat has been having issues well she dosent sniff or rub her but on anything but I will notice her butthole will stick out and its randomly when it happens she dosent seem to be in discomfort but I'm just curious .

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sweetums is adorable! As long as the rectum is prolapsed (a red tubular structure is coming out of the anus) and she isn't scooting what you are seeing is probably normal. Sometimes the anus can look prominent after a bowel movement or if she has to go. Have a good day
