My chihuahua is dizzy, not eating. What can I do before the vet?

Hello I have an 11 year old chihuahua and just today we’ve notice he’s hasn’t been eating he’s can’t sit still just walking around in circles and can’t keep his balance even when trying to sit or lay down ..we just cut on our space heater and he’s laying in front of it ...I can’t get to a vet until 7:30 am I was wondering is there anything I can do now until the morning

I am sorry that Chico is not feeling well. You could try feeding him a bland diet of boiled chicken and white rice incase he is more interested in that than his dog food. However, it is possible he is not eating if he is nauseous from being dizzy. Dogs can have vestibular disease, where they loose the balance, and this can make them nauseous and not want to eat. I would recommend keeping him comfortable in a warm safe place until you can get him to the vet in the morning. However, if at any time you think he is having trouble breathing or in pain I would recommend a 24 hour emergency clinic this evening. Hope the feels better soon
