My 10-year-old cat with diabetes is losing teeth. Is he okay?

Hello! My Cat Carter Is 10 years old and has Diabeties, and has also had 1 tooth pulled and another was lost over the weekend. Please Answer Me as soon as possible. I love my carter so much and I want to make sure that he is ok.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I am not sure what your question is but if you are worried about him losing a tooth, it is not uncommon. I would recommend the vet take a look at his teeth to see if any more need to come out. It is ok if Carter loses teeth because he can still eat without them. But if there are more diseased teeth he needs to have them extracted to prevent pain and further decay. If the vet says his teeth look good, I would recommend daily brushing with cat toothpaste to prevent further tartar build up. Good luck and kisses to Carter!
