My cat has a leg injury, losing weight. Internal? Can't afford vet.

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | 2 years and 2 months old | 6 lbs

Cat injury. Back left leg. Not sure if broken or ligament injury. Don't know how it happened. Knocked by car, kicked or jumped/fell from height no broken skin or blood. It's been a week now. He's eating, drinking. Seems to be able to urinate and poop ok. He seems to have lost weight fast. Dent in rear sides in front of back legs, like he's not eaten for a while. He appears to be in less pain. He sometimes sleeps on the sore leg. I'm worried there may be something internal. Can't afford vet. Help

Poor Khan really needs to see a vet asap, as he could have serious internal injuries plus isn't not good he's losing weight fast. If paying for a vet is an issue, you can see if your vet accepts payment plans, if there is a low cost clinic in your area, or you can apply for Carefree Credit online. http://www.carefreecredit.co.uk https://www.rspca.org.uk/whatwedo/vetcare http://www.easipetcare.com Check out these resources to see if one can help you and please take him into a vet now. Best of luck.
