My dog's poop is small with red specks. Is it blood? Should I worry?

my dog zoey did not poop yesterday. and when she poop awhile ago it's very small and when i looked closer it has little red. i don't know if its blood or not. but zoey looks good and lively. do i need to worry? Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | unspayed | 9 months and 27 days old | 8.13 lbs

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If you aren't sure then watch her closely and examine the next few stools. If it was a one time thing then I wouldn't worry, she may have been passing something she ate that was red. If the red persists and starts to look mucous or more like blood then repost or talk to your Vet. Good luck
