My 5-month-old cat has lumps near nipples. Is it her first heat?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hello, I noticed the other day that my 5 month old Siamese mix has small lumps/masses on the underside of her belly. Some lumps are around her nipples. I know its possible that she is going into her first heat, but I don't know if these lumps have anything to do with that. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!

If the nipples are more pronounced, and the area around them is enlarged, and she’s acting strangely then she’s probably coming into heat. You’ll know by her overly friendly or different behavior. If not then I recommend having your veterinarian examine these to determine the reason and prescribe treatment if needed.
