Are those rice-like segments near my cat's rear actually tapeworms?

Hi, I’m wondering if these smart hard items near our cat rear are dried worms or just debris? Thanks for your advice.

These are tape worm proglottids, ie the tape worm's egg containers. Tape worm is spread by fleas. These tape worms are not contagious to people. You will need to get a cat wormer that contains Praziquantel. This will kill the tape worm. You should also do some flea prevention to prevent further infection with tapeworm.

It sounds like from your description of Snoizir's worms that he has tapeworms. That requires praziquantel to treat, and it is only available by prescription only from the vet. You will need to take him into the vet to confirm he has tapeworms, and the vet will prescribe the medication needed to kill them. I recommend asking for Drontal, it's an excellent dewormer that contains praziquantel. Best of luck!
