My outdoor male cat is chasing a kitten. Is the kitten at risk?

I have an adult male cat who is mostly outdoors. Today he is chasing a kitten outside and I don't know if the kitten belongs to somebody. He is not harming the kitten in anyway but he simply wants to follow it wherever it goes. I am not sure about the gender of the kitten. Is the kitten at risk from my cat ? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 2 years old | 5 lbs

It's possible that Chimpu could feel threatened by the kitten and a cat fight could occur. Since you don't know where the kitten came from it also might be better to keep him away since you don't know the kitten's vaccine history or whether or not it may have an infectious disease.
