Dog leaked stinky liquid in bed while asleep. Is it anal glands?

My dog pooped tiny bit while he was asleep, he woke up and he was surprised that he pooped in the bed. (it was not exactly poop but like poop water smelled like stinky shrimp) He had normal poop during the day. Is it possible that he might have farted and some smelly liquid came out.? Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | neutered | 1 year and 6 months old | 70 lbs

They express each time the dog defecates to mark its scent. They can occasionally leak at other times releasing a foul smelling brown to gray liquid.
