My bird flies off my finger. How do I train it not to fly away?

How do I make my buddies stay on my finger for longer periods of time? They hop off after a minute. I want to bring them out on my finger, put them on my shoulder and they don't fly (they're wings are unclipped).

The training of birds all revolves around comfort and security. Continue to train to step up on your finger for longer and longer periods of time. Observe your bird for when it tries to fly away and distract with treats or attention but then allow to step down, during your control. Clipping wings might aid in your training.
