My dog keeps licking a hard spot on his skin. What could it be?

This may be a cyst, tumor or infection. It may also be a sore caused by excessive licking due to stress or boredom. Ideally, it should be looked at by your veterinarian. Place an e-collar (cone) on Bear to prevent further licking until he sees the doctor. Treatment may include antibiotics and/or anti-inflammatory medication.
