My dog's neuter site is hard on one side, soft on other. Normal?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Ive already asked but I figured Id provide more details. One side of his, I guess Ill call it sack, is soft and the other is hard and a bit bigger. He was neutered almost a week ago and Im not quite sure if this is right. There isnt any drainage or anything, no pus or blood. It just doesnt look right. He also hasnt been acting the same, very mad but then again we have been moving around to get away from the recent hurricane but we have been settled for a few days so that could be it.

Honestly it is not easy for me to tell exactly what is going on without examining him in person. Both sides of the scrotum look symmetrical from the photo but if one side is hard and one is soft then that could indicate an infection. I suggest you take him to a vet for an exam. It is better to be safe than sorry. Best wishes.
