Can I give my cat Vetmedin with food to prevent stomach upset?

My cat is currently taking Vetmedin (twice daily), Furosemide, Enalapril and Clopidogrel for a recent HCM diagnosis. The insert included in the Vetmedin box states it's to be given on an empty stomach 1 hr before food but it seems like the pill upsets his stomach without food. Is it okay to give a small amount of food with the Vetmedin 1.25mg dose? Or am I able to avoid waiting the full hour and feed him his meal sooner? He does take his other medication with food following the Vetmedin dose. Pet's info: Cat | Sphynx | Male | neutered | 1 year and 10 months old | 9.6 lbs

Hello. Yes you can absolutely give the Vetmedin with a tiny bit of food. The important thing is to give the pill & wait at least 45 - 60 minutes before feeding a full meal. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
