My puppy is very weak and hasn't eaten in a week. Is he dying?

My puppy is still not eating and it's been a week. He's very weak and I'm feeding him sugar water (the vet told me to) with a syringe. He can mainly hold the water down but not anything else. My questions are, should I skip work to stay with him? And is he going to die soon? I'm terrified. I know I should hospitalize him but I don't have enough money... Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 7 days old | 55 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Spooky! I am so sorry that Spooky is so sick. I would stay home. I am worried about how sick is and for how long. Have you tried applying for care credit or reached out to low cost clinics like the SPCA? I am worried that he may pass away with out further care. I wish you the best
