My cat is lethargic, not eating after being missing. Is it serious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 10 years old | 10 lbs

my cat is lethargic, isnt eating rarely drinking. He sound like he is trying to bring something up. I dont think that it is a hairball as he threw one up about 2 weeks earlier. He went missing for 2 days and came back home this morning, with black stuff around his nose and hit falling from his mouth like he had been eating something. He has been getting slowly better throughout the day and is abit more active but still presenting above symptoms.

This is a medical emergency and Jinger needs to see a vet now. It would be very concern he was attacked or injured when he was missing causing his symptoms. It's actually extremely serious when a cat won't eat, and he has to have veterinary care now. Please take him into a vet immediately. Best of luck.
