Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Scotch! He is quit young to be separated from his mother. Ideally puppies should be with their mother until 8 weeks of age. Causes of vomiting in young neonates are: intestinal parasites, diet, intussusception, viral (especially parvo) or bacterial infections. As long as he is under Veterinary care and you bring him back to the Vet if he isn't better then he likely will do well. It depends on the cause of the vomiting. He shouldn't be eating human food, human dairy or cereal products. He should be eating canned puppy food and you can add puppy formula to that. If Scotch isn't eating and is still vomiting then he needs to be seen again if it has been 24 hours. Good luck!
