Cysta can develop when a hair follicle or skin pore gets blocked by dirt or debris or scar tissue. Infection can also cause a cyst as well as swelling due to inflammation. This just happens, there is no way to avoid it. Sometimes cysts need to be removed surgically or at least emptied, especially if they are infected.
