Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | spayed | 3 years and 4 months old | 10 lbs
My dog has always had a lower pitched bark, but for two days now her bark has been high pitched. It doesn’t sound raspy but it’s clearly higher pitch than her normal bark. She does like to bark at passerby’s through the window when I’m not home. Is this concerning or has she just gotten tired ?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! While I could not know for sure without an examination, this is more likely to not be something of concern than the opposite. I would continue to monitor her for now and have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment if this worsens. Otherwise, this may be a transient change. Good luck and have a great day!
