Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | spayed
My Yorkie had very mild ivdd 4 months ago, no consequences. Vets weren’t even sure about the diagnosis but we kept her on crate rest. In the last month she cried a bit after jumping of the couch 3 times, after the “episode” she keeps her tail low and curled to one side,if you touch her under the tail (around anal area) and shakes it as if the muscles were stiff and also seems to be just a bit off, but if you do not touch it there, her tail is completely normal. Could she have more back problems?

Ella may have impacted anal sacs which is something your veterinarian can easily diagnose. Your vet can also empty them if they are impacted. Sometimes groomers do this as a service, but most are not good at it and the dog ends up with bruised tissue that then hurts. I suggest you take Ella back to your veterinarian for a recheck re the ivdd and a check of the anal sacs.
