My cat's claw is injured and bleeding. Does she need to see a vet?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 1 year and 4 months old | 8.77 lbs

Hello, I think my cat has lost or injured a claw and I am not sure if she needs to see a vet. I noticed a small amount of bleeding on her paw 3 days ago and she has been holding her paw up and licking it constantly since. I have not seen her protract her claws on that paw since so I had a look. I was able to hold out all but one claw - as soon as I felt near that one my cat let out a little cry. I am not sure if she needs to see a vet on this or if it could heal itself?

I am sorry to hear about Belle! I would recommend bringing her into the vet, as she is obviously painful. She could have torn a claw but there could be a remnant of the claw remaining that needs removal as this can cause pain if it is hanging on. We also worry about infection in these cases, so it is best to have your vet check her out so we can make sure she is as comfortable as can be!
