My dog is afraid of other dogs and strangers. What can I do to help?

My dog is having a hard time socializing with other dogs, even if the dogs are nice and quiet and she also wont let other people pet her, she just walks away. What should I do to make her not scared of other dogs and peoples? Pet's info: Dog | Bichon Frise | Female | 7 months and 16 days old | 390 lbs

Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! Some dogs just do not like other dogs no matter what you do. you can try training and anti-anxiety medications like Prozac from your vet to help any anxiety cause. Then it’s slow desensitization. With the dugs you do short sessions with people touching her. But also realize her walking away from them is better than her biting them. Consider spaying her to help with the dog issues. You can also try a calming collar and treats first. But no drug is going to work without training and effort on your part.
