My dog has a dry hacking cough and runny eye from dusty cabin.

I recently took my dog to our cabin. We took him hiking in the woods and drives on back roads. There was alot of dust on the roads and peopl were smoking in cabin. 2 days later he has dry haking cough and seems like he is gonna vomit after mainly at night.has a runny eye. It seems everyday its less coughing. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 4 years and 10 months old | 55 lbs

It is likely that your dog has an irritated upper airway from the dust and the smoking. As long as the cough is improving, and your dog does not appear ill, I would not worry too much. Keep him away from the smoke and try not to take him out in a dusty environment. If his eye gets worse or he starts having a discharge from the eye or the nose, he should be seen by a veterinarian for an exam.
