How to give my dog Cerenia for nausea? What does 1/4 tablet mean?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 7 days old | 5 lbs

I got clavamox drops to give to my dog and they gave me cerenia to help with nausea but I don’t understand the instructions it says (give 1/4 tab by mouth every 12 hours for nausea control until gone) there’s 4 tablets in the box does it mean give her one out of four or to give her oneforth of the one tablet

1/4 tablet means to give 1/4 of a single tablet. So if you have a box of 4 tablets, you essentially have 16 individual doses you can give. I would only recommend giving this every 24 hours as well. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
