Should I neuter my hyper 9-month-old dog now or wait until he calms?

Question

My pup is 9 almost 10 months he’s not neutered yet but I do want to get that done soon. The thing is he is very hyper and crazy and I am almost certain he’s going to take off his cone and take the stitches out. Should I wait until he is older and calms down? Will he ever calm down? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 8 months and 21 days old | 55 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I would recommend going ahead with the surgery. I would kennel Scooby after the procedure to keep him calm and contained during his recovery. And I would also talk to the vet doing the surgery about sedatives post op.
