Cat vomiting: Is surgery the only option for intestinal blockage?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | European Burmese | Male | neutered | 2 years old | 7 lbs

My cat has been vomiting for a week, vets told me he might have a foreign body blocking his intestinals but they are not sure, they are going to do an operation to see if there's something,if not then they told me there's no way to save him,his nerves are destroyed. Is this possible??? Are there no other ways?? I'm desperate,he was so good before, how could this happen?

An intestinal blockage can only be resolved with surgery. Unfortunately if the blockage is not surgically removed, your cat will die a slow terrible death. Your vet is right. Your kitty needs and operation now. Do not wait.
