Will crating my puppy in multiple rooms mess up his training?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Irish Terrier | Male | neutered | 4 months and 13 days old | 15 lbs

Hello, I'm wondering if it's okay to crate my puppy in mutliple rooms. I crate him in my bedroom at night and in the living room throughout the day when I'm at work. I want to make sure I'm not messing with his crate training

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It should not be a problem using different crate as long as the same rules and routine for Stu applies. Meaning it’s the same size and has the same options in it (I.e blankets, toys, bowls) and you use the same manners to get in and out of it. Kisses to Stu!
