Hi there and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Unfortunately, shedding is a natural part of being a cat so there is no real way to stop Miss Kitty from shedding but there are ways you can lessen the amount of fur she sheds. Certainly brushing is a great way- I would do this every day. Having her groomed regularly with a groomer or your vet's office (if they offer grooming services) can really help as well. Some cat owners have their cat's fur shaved or cut back to help lessen the amount they shed. You may consider grooming Miss Kitty on a regular basis if her shedding is becoming a problem.
