The best pet insurance is the one that does not disallow most procedures. So ask your vet about which insurance he has the least trouble with reembursing clients or paying for veterinary care. Vets do not usually sell insurance, so you can trust their judgment.

There are many pet insurances available right now, and they are all slightly different in coverage and how you are reimbursed for medical issues. Most will require that you pay the vet the full bill, and then will reimburse you a percentage of the cost of the bill, so keep in mind that you will still need to be able to pay the vet bill at the time of service. What pet insurance do vet recommend or any at all? Should I get a carecredit card?
Great questions! I like PetPlan, Embrace and Trupanion. Those are my top three. All very good companies. Just contact all of them for quotes and go with the best price. Yes, on the CareCredit card. That way you are never stuck without being able to pay in case of an emergency. Just be aware that CareCredit usually gives a 6-12 month interest free period but if you can't pay off the bill in that time frame the interest rate is astronomical (like close to 30%). So, be sure you think you can pay off whatever the balance is in that time frame or you will drown in interest fees and never get it paid off. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

This is a great question! I definitely do recommend pet insurance, as it can be a literal lifesaver. I recommend that you inquire about any caps put on amount reimbursed per condition or per year, as these can be restrictive, so you may want to avoid plans that include caps. Some pet insurance is made just for accident or illness coverage, and others offer preventative care and dental coverage as well. You can decide on which types of plans you are interested in based on what kind of care Koko needs. What kind of pet insurance do you accept?
We are not a veterinary clinic so we do not deal with pet insurance. Vet clinics do not "accept" insurance per se. You take the pet into the vet clinic for treatment and you pay the bill. Then you submit a claim to the insurance company and they reimburse you directly. The vet can fill out a form for you if need be but they do not deal directly with the insurance company.

Is pet insurance worth the cost? If yes, what’s the best and not so expensive insurance for a dog ?
Depending on your dog and her lifestyle, pet insurance can be worth it. Unfortunately, pet insurance is worth the most for accidents and illnesses. Often the plans do not cover routine health care, but some plans do. Most plans also have a variety of options, so you can decrease the cost of the plan by decreasing the coverage. I have a number of clients that use Trupanion who has covered $10,000 bills without any questions. But those owners have a higher premium than some of the other companies who may not cover the same amount. I wish I could give you a clear answer, but for young dogs, I think a moderate plan for the first year is always a good idea. That will give you a good idea about if you think the plan is worth it long term. I would recommend contacting 3 companies and compare what they cover, your deductible, and your monthly cost. If I had to chose a few, I would compare Trupanion, PetPlan and Nationwide, but there are other good companies out there too. I hope that

I just adopted my dog a couple days ago. He recently turned 1, and I want to get him health insurance. What should I look for in the policy? Any insurance plans you recommend?
I personally recommend PetPlan but there are many options out there, just make sure you are not taking an insurance with bad reputation, too cheap usually means they will not cover a lot of things. you should look minimally for 4-5 K$ cover per condition.
