Pet's info: Dog | English Bulldog | Female | spayed | 11 years and 7 months old | 48 lbs
I was wondering if you had an idea by symptoms what caused my dogs death. My 11 and a half year old english bulldog passed away two night ago. She seemed her normal self. She ate, drank and used the washroom normally. We came home after 6 hours, she had urinated on herself and had a bowel movement in her crate. Her breathing was shallow and sounded like fluid in her lungs. Her eyes were cloudy. She stopped breathing and passed quickly. What may have happened?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I am so sorry about Chandelle! There are many possible causes as she was a senior dog. Heart failure, a seizure that caused aspiration or non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema, choking, a severe allergic reaction, twisted stomach or an internal bleed. With out an autopsy we will never know. Again I am so very sorry for your loss!
