My dog can't walk, has red spots, and can't pee. Is it serious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Female | 12 years and 8 months old | 22 lbs

Dog started loosing her balance a few days ago, and now she can't walk at all. She can't go to the bathroom and certain spots on her skin look red like she's bleeding internally.

I would recommend that Noni see a vet as soon as possible. Losing balance and not being able to walk can be caused by vestibular issues (part of the brain) or an inner ear infection. Not going to the bathroom could be from obstruction or the fact that she hasn't been eating or drinking normally for a while. Bleeding internally is very serious and can be caused by a number of life-threatening illnesses.
