Restrict Riley's activity for 24 hours. When he needs to go out, leash walk him then bring him back inside as soon as he finishes his business. Prevent or avoid excessive running, jumping, rough play or stairs. Monitor for swelling, bruising or persistent lameness. If he is still favoring the leg after 48 hours or develops significant bruising or swelling, have him examined by your veterinarian.
