Unfortunately it's impossible to say without being able to examine Bruno in person. A testicular tumor could swell and cause an increase in size that could resolves with an antibiotic or steroid injection. Infections like Brucella or other bacteria could cause testicular swelling. I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Bruno to determine what might be the cause.

Hello, sorry to hear about Bruno. It sounds like he could either have a tumor or an infection in that area. Inflammation of the testicles, sperm cord, or even parts of the penis can be causes by multiple infectious bacteria and a tumors. Bruno should be evaluated by a veterinarian to have him adequately treated wither with antibiotics or potentially chemotherapy. Your veterinarian may determine that his may need surgery to manage any infected or dead tissue in the area. Have Bruno evaluated immediately to make sure he gets treated soon. Hope this helps and best of luck.
