My cat is grumpy with a shoulder lump. Is it dislocated or an abscess?

This is squeakys shoulder he's very grumpy atm could be dislocated he has a lump too

From the pic it looks like he is holding it in a fairly abnormal position but if it was luxated, Squeaky would not sit in that position. Shoulder luxation is not common in cats anyway and if you noticed a lump, abscess is more likely. A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately.
