Cat foaming, shaking, sneezing after flea/dewormer. Is it serious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year and 11 months old | 15 lbs

My cat had tape worms and fleas, we gave him a flea bath and dewormer drops (on neck) and 2 days later sprayed him with a cat flea killer spray then put his monthly flea drops on his neck, the day after all of that he has been sneezing and shaking his head as well as foaming at the mouth. Should I be worried? The bath and spray was pretty stressful on him. Could any of this be from the reformer drops? Help please.

More information on the actual medications used would be required but it is never recommended to use multiple flea products, or to repeat more frequently than recommended dosage as cats are very prone to overdose side effects. Please arrange an emergency veterinary assessment and take all label/packaging information with you
