My dog has pink things in his poop. Do I need an urgent vet visit?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 2 years and 4 months old | 10 lbs

Please identify the reasons for these pink things in my dog’s stool. His poop earlier seemed fine, I’m very concerned. Do I need to take him for immediate care or can he wait until Monday for the vet? Thank you.

It looks granular, which would be caused by something Bibi has eaten. This could be colored pieces of kibble or things he chewed on that he shouldn't be eating, like pieces of plastic. If Bibi seems otherwise normal (eating and drinking normal, normal activity level), then I think it can wait until Monday to have him checked out. If he isn't acting normal, then he should see a vet this weekend.
