My indoor cat left black specks on my sheets. Are they fleas?

Hi, I washed my sheets last night and when I woke up this morning noticed that my cat left some kind of residue all over the sheets. I don't think she has flees since she's an inside pet. What could it be? Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 5 years and 6 months old | 9 lbs

I am concerned about fleas. Even indoor cats can get fleas and I would recommend putting her on a flea prevention. If you run your hands against the fur at the base of her tail and she has little black specks then it is definitely fleas. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
