Why is my kitten constipated again after her first vaccinations?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 20 days old | 3.3 lbs

Is it normal for a kitten to get constipation after first vaccinations? My kitten was constipated a couple of weeks ago and has recovered since and produced normal stool. She had her vaccination yesterday and now seems to be constipated again I still have lactulose for her so have given her that much I was wondering if I could get any more advice? Thanks

All i can tell you is that the constipation is unrelated to the vaccination, there can be many causes for constipation, usually these reasons are food related but there are also various diseases that can cause constipation. if this is an ongoing issue i would recommend consulting your vet in order to try and solve the problem.
