Why is my dog scratching and biting non-stop? Home remedies?

My dog has been on this non stopping horrible scratching, itching, and biting episode for a very long time,, I would say for over 6 months or longer! I mean it's 24/7 all day and everyday!! He keeps me up all during the night and u can just tell he is so miserable! I don't and havnt had any extra money to take him to the vet but I'm hoping I will soon, what can I do for him at home for some relieve,, and any idea what may be causing this! Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 11 months and 8 days old | 70 lbs

Hi. Poor Twitch. Sounds like some pretty bad allergies. Also, check and make.sure there aren't any fleas or ticks. The only options at home would be to try antihistamines. You can contact your veterinarian for a possible dose for those. Otherwise Twitch would need to be seen to get the best treatment and diagnostics.
