Why is my dog rubbing his face after an iron shot? Allergic reaction?

My standard size schnauzer had a 1cc shot of iron, intramuscular. A few minutes later he started rubbing his paws againts his face and rubbing his face against everything. Should i be worried about an allergic reaction or something like that? Pet's info: Dog | Standard Schnauzer | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 9 months old

Yes this could be due to an allergic reaction and if continues for the next half an hour and immediate check up is required to stop clinical signs and the reaction before it gets systemic.
