Pet's info: Dog | English Bulldog | Female | spayed | 7 years and 6 months old | 61 lbs
Our dog has 2 lumps under her tail near her anus. They are looking red a weepy. Both are at around the 11-1pm positions and have only appeared in the last 2 week. Definitely not any longer then this time frame! She doesn’t seem bothered by them at all apart from when we had to wipe her bottom as one poo was abit too soft. Toilet is fine Apart from that one poo. She’s on 15mg (prednisone) steroids a day. is a English bulldog, spayed and 7yrs old.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! These could be benign or malignant growths. These could also be abscesses based on your description. There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. I recommend you have Saffie evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. It is difficult to see in the picture you provided to say for sure what this could be. This could be an insect bite or an infected hair follicle / pimple. I would keep an eye on this for the next 3-5 days and if it does not go away or it worsens, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
