Why does Catori pee and poop in the car when we are on our way to the vet and all we did was drop her off for boarding while we went oh vacation she has done it multiple times but yet we waited until the afternoon or late evening so that she has a chance to go to the bathroom. She waits until she gets closer to let loose . She didn’t do it for the groomer or when I took her to PetSmart . Also her pee now smells like bleach all the sudden I give her tap water sometimes she will drink water . Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 1 year and 7 months old

Cats usually eiminate in the crate when they are scared. This happens especially when they can see the landscape flying by which scares them even more as they cannot understand why this happens. The noise of the car and maybe the length of the trip also contribute. The bleach smell could be from additives in the tap water such ach chlorine bleach. You can take a large pot of tap water and let it sit 24 hrs so that the chlorine beach evaporates. If your kitty's urine keeps smelling funny you should have her examined by your veterinarian as she may have a UTI.
